With preliminary annual figures complete through December, the 2019 average growth rate reached +1.8%. Job growth peaked at the end of the year, as employers in San Diego added 34,800 jobs (+2.3%) year over year in December. The U.S. average growth rate was +1.6% for 2019 and +1.4% in December.
